We are Adrien and Vera Rijgersberg.
After more than 30 years of travelling to France, we didn’t come here for a holiday—we came to stay.
What started as a long-held idea quietly moved to the background while life took its course: careers, raising our daughters, building experience. And then, at the right moment, we chose to do it properly.
In 2024, we took over Repos à Ribérac: a beautifully restored 19th-century maison de maître, full of character and history. Not to change it—but to continue it, with the same care and attention it deserves.
Our approach is simple, but deliberate.
We believe a stay should feel calm, comfortable and considered. No excess, no noise—just a place where things are right. Where the house has its own rhythm, where you sleep well, start your day with a proper breakfast, and return in the evening to a place that feels easy.
Adrien’s background in business and hospitality-focused thinking, combined with Vera’s eye for detail and craftsmanship, shape how we run Repos à Ribérac today. Quietly attentive, without being intrusive.
Over the years, this house has built a strong reputation. We see it as a solid foundation—one we are committed to building on.
Since taking over, we have focused on elevating the overall experience. Refining comfort, enhancing the atmosphere, and paying close attention to the details that make a stay feel just right.
