How to get here

 

 

Getting to our region could not be easier.  Ribérac lies at the centre of nearby airports, major roads and train services (including the TGV). 

Ryanair fly into nearby Bergerac from London Stansted, East Midlands airport and Liverpool.  Flybe  fly to Bergerac from Birmingham, Edingburgh, Exeter, Leeds Bradford and Southampton.  British Airways fly to Bordeaux from London Gatwick.  Air France fly to Bordeaux from London Heathrow and Dublin.  Easyjet also fly into Bordeaux from London Luton.

Let the train take the strain with Eurostar.  London to Lille, then a change on to a TGV before arriving in nearby Angoulême.

If you prefer to drive because you fancy taking home some bargain wines that abound in the area then you can cross the channel via several companies.  P & O Ferries runs from Dover to Calais.  Norfolkline (now part of DFDS) will take you to Dunkerque for a slightly longer run to the south.

Brittany Ferries can take you from Portsmouth to Caen, Cherbourg, or St Malo.  They also run from Plymouth to Roscoff.

Car Hire

The usual large car hire companies all have offices at the newly refurbed Bergerac airport.  Avis, Europcar and Hertz also operate from Bordeaux airport.  Car hire is also available from in and around Angoulême train station.  To grab the best deal why not log on to carhire comparison website.

Tourist Information

A good source of information about some of the many attractions found in the Dordogne can be found at Conseil General de la Dordogne.  Alternativley you can log on to to Ribérac's own website English text website, which has its own English version.

Bed and breakfast accomodation

Recommended just outside Ribérac is La Petite Clavelie.  This charming old farmhouse and its buildings is a delightful place where you can be assured of a warm welcome from Yannick and Christian.

Health, Fitness and Exercise

Try out Ribérac's new, high-tech fitness gym EnForme where you will receive a warm welcome from Sian and Richard.  You can have just one seance or a carnet of 10 seances if you don't want to take out a yearly subscription.  Great for those on holiday wishing to keep up there fitness regime.
